About Matt Huggans

Meet Matt Huggans, the blue-collar, grassroots candidate stepping forward to challenge this district's liberal, six-year incumbent and bring a return of conservative values to the office of our state representative.

Republican for House District 42

Matt Huggans is an army veteran, husband to his wife Mary Ann of thirty-three years, father to four, grandfather to six, attends The House Church and is a small businessman who has owned a Paul's Valley contracting firm since 1996. He is a blue-collar, hardworking, MAGA patriot who loves this country and detests what politicians and their special interest financiers are doing to our county and state. Because he won't take from the lobbyists, their employers, or the politicians, Matt will stay the same after election day.

Your vote for Matt Huggans on June 18th is a vote for truth over trickery and a vote for giving local voters what they deserve: real, actual conservative representation. And, as a bonus, it will send the dark money groups a message: their dirty money is no good here!

The Issues

Protect The Innocent

Uphold the sanctity of life, defend the 2nd Amendment, oppose Joe Biden’s police state and act under the recent Court decision allowing the state to deport the illegal invaders of our nation..

Oppose "Legalized Corruption"

Oppose the many corporate welfare programs that are frequently supported by the six-year incumbent: This includes the mega, green-energy subsidies she has frequently voted to give to the woke, international corporations. These are “legalized corruption” and favor the elite, who have the means to hire lobbyists, legal counsel, and financial experts, leaving the common citizen to pick up the tab.

Strengthen Oklahoma’s election laws.

Oklahoma's voting regulations, especially the ones permitting unrestricted mail-in voting, are susceptible to ballot harvesting and urgently need revision in order to realize President Trump’s call for a focus on one day voting. The current laws entice Oklahoma and Tulsa County ballot-harvest-style manipulation that will eventually grow to swamp the votes of those of us in rural Oklahoma.

This is What Makes Matt Huggans Different Than Almost Every Other State Official

Matt Huggans will reject all contributions and personal gifts from lobbyists and their employers

This is the difference maker; it sets Matt apart from almost all other candidates who have sought state office.

We are being tricked! When campaigning, our six-year incumbent state representative claims to be a conservative but, once re-elected, she returns to the capitol and casts many liberal votes. In the last election, she spent an eye-popping $107,000. Much of this came from lobbyists, lobbyist employers and powerful politicians. Then, at the last second, as election day neared, to keep her from losing, a secretive dark money group, operating out of a Staples store in Tulsa, poured in thousands more for dirty attacks. They won the day, that time; but, in 2023, the Oklahoma Republican Vice Chair led a comprehensive audit of the legislature’s votes. This audit found that the incumbent voted in accordance with the Republican platform just 30.43% of the time; and Oklahoma's gold standard for gauging the conservativeness of legislators' votes since 1979, The Oklahoma Conservative Index, found that in 2023, the incumbent voted conservative just 40% of the time.

Cindy Roe's Co-Sponsored Legislation Threatens to Give Government Control of Our Most Personal Records

The election of Matt Huggans on June 18th will send a signal to the Legislature: Leave our medical records alone!

SB 574 was co-sponsored by only one house member: our state representative, Cindy Roe.

How Cindy Roe's Legislation Threatens to Give Government Control of Our Most Personal Records

Our six-year incumbent State Representative Cindy Roe's liberal votes aren't just something that happens in a vacuum far away at the capitol. Instead, they pose a real-world danger with serious consequences for our future.

Here's just one example: In 2021, Cindy Roe was the lone house co-sponsor of SB 574, and in 2023, she supported SB 1369.

These two bills, in tandem, created a network that threatens to consolidate access to our medical records through a centralized system.

The centralization of medical records has long been a goal of medical bureaucrats and was a key aspect of the Obamacare program.

In 2010, Oklahoma voters pushed back against Obamacare by approving a constitutional amendment intended to prevent this type of medical record centralization.

However, acting under the authority provided to them by Roe, government bureaucrats attempted to proceed with their plan regardless of what the Constitution dictates.

They did this by creating a complicated "opt-out" procedure that would have required patients to file paperwork with EVERY medical provider in order to preserve their constitutional rights—provided they managed to find out about the “opt-out” in the first place.

One can only imagine the potential for adverse consequences once the government enables access to our most personal records, ranging from hacking and ransomware to blackmail.

This issue escalated in the fall of 2023 when, using the authority approved by Roe, state health care authority bureaucrats attempted to push medical providers to allow access to the records.

Fortunately, the Oklahoma Fraternal Order of Police and a group of doctors filed a lawsuit, and Governor Stitt intervened to halt the efforts of the bureaucrats.

However, with Stitt's term ending in just a couple of years, we can anticipate that bureaucrats will once again leverage the statutory authority provided by Roe—our state representative—to gain control over our sensitive medical information.

Matt Huggans understands the dangers of an expanding government and would never support these policies, let alone co-sponsor them.

He will be our protector against the bureaucracy—not the enabler of it.

If elected, he will personally sponsor legislation to repeal the Cindy Roe bill and prevent the government from forcing the collection of our medical records—before it's too late.
